LB Landscaping Solutions LLC was founded in 2023 by Malia Leilehua Kipapa and Isaac Mejia Barahona. Leilehua, with her expertise in environmental studies, botany, and cultural management, joins Barahona, who brings over 14 years of experience in farming and land management. Together, they created a company dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for families and commercial properties in Kailua-Kona through exceptional landscaping services that embody hard work, dedication, and environmental sustainability. The name "LB" “L” - Leilehua - “B” - Barahona represents their partnership and commitment. LB Landscaping Solutions LLC’s values, like its owners, are in many ways “old fashioned” representing the good traditions that have been part of their upbringing. About Malia Kipapa
Malia Kipapa is the owner of LB Landscaping Solutions LLC. Born and raised in Keaukaha on the Island of Hawai’i, Malia holds a BS in Environmental Studies from Chaminade University and an MS in Botany from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. With more than 15 years of experience working with local and Hawaiian communities across the islands, she spent 12 years managing contracts, sites, and operations for one of Hawai'i's largest Native Hawaiian trusts. Malia is dedicated to promoting healthy native ecosystems by integrating native forest plants into commercial green spaces throughout Hawai’i, supporting xeriscaping and sustainable landscaping practices.
